According to Shopify, creating assets in 3D improves your brand’s conversion rate by 70%. The example/product category they used to test the effectiveness of the experience was the brand Rebekah Minkoff ( one of her gorgeous handbags).
They added a visualiser to the website so consumers could see the item in 3D before purchasing. They found that adding an augmented reality visualiser to Rebekah Minkoff’s website made consumers 30% more likely to make a purchase!

Similarly, here is a nice campaign from Clarke’s Shoes and Hearst Media and ARCADE.
They created an augmented reality visualiser that allows you to see the shoes as if you were in a shop looking at them. They also show models walking in their shoes. The tech quality is great and provides an in-store experience online.
The sequencing of the catwalk video and the Clarkes 3D models is expertly done and also the rendering of the 3D models is very well executed ( very often leather can look like plastic in 3D).
