Background: Coca Cola is now the official soft drink partner of the FA Premier League joining other sponsors Barclays, Carling, Cadbury, Nike, Tag Heuer and EA Sports.
To activate it's sponsorship, and secure point of sale visibility with key customers in Sweden, Coca Cola European Partners Sweden worked with Return2Sender and UK Shopper Supremos, Mesh Marketing to build a web entry mechanic where shoppers could enter a campaign microsite for a chance to win Premier League Shirts of their favourite team.
To enter, Swedish shoppers had to SMS a keyword 'FOTBALLSLAG' to 71611 or scan the QR code on POS.
Once they texted in or scanned the QR they were sign-posted to a web URL.
On the web from, they entered their name and address, their favourite premier league football team, their preferred shirt size, data preferences ( opt in for SMS and email) plus a 'complete the slogan' tie breaker as to why they should win.
We received all of the entries, ran the prize draw, notified the winners, collated all of the prize winners and their shirt preferences, and passed on the opt in data to their data partner for ongoing comms.
