For Kerrygold/Ornua we created a 3D Augmented Reality gold star (Lens/ Filter) that shoppers could drop into any festive occasion and share for a chance to win.

The Brief & Background 

Christmas is a key consumption moment for Kerrygoldโ€”a time when people come together and the brandโ€™s iconic gold packaging graces dinner tables around the world.

Kerrygoldโ€™s advertising has always celebrated the joy of togetherness and the simple pleasures of sharing a home-cooked meal.

The latest campaign builds on this tradition, emphasizing that lifeโ€™s simplest moments are often the most meaningfulโ€”and that Kerrygold has the power to make them even more memorable.

To extend this idea the Kerrygold brand and packaging teams partnered with Return2Sender to explore how augmented reality could add a touch of magic (and encourage purchase).

The result was the Kerrygold Christmas Star โ€” an Instagram filter that transformed the brandโ€™s iconic packaging into a shimmering 3D gold star. Shoppers could place this star into any festive scene and share it for a chance to win.

-Christmas scene creation and animation (Christmas stockings, snow, presents, particle effects)

-Landing page design ( via link in bio)

-Copywriting and on screen instructions and prompts

-Meta/Instagram/ Facebook lens/filter submission and approval in line with Meta requirements

-Prize Management
